If you had been in my church last Sunday you may have found yourself dodging missiles disguised as rubber bands. Armed with a pile of would‐be weapons, our pastor pulled several bands tight and sent them screaming into the air. One landed just short of a woman’s nose. Then without tension or stress, he attempted to launch another one, but it went pathetically limp. |

Rohrmayer elected to succeed Tanis Delegates to the MidAmerica
biennial meeting, October 22-23, elected ConvergeUSA director and
MidAmerica church planting director Gary Rohrmayer as their next
executive minister. Rohrmayer received 99 percent of the vote. He began
a three-month sabbatical November 1 and will start in his EM Elect
position March 1. He will overlap with current executive minister
Bernie Tanis until Tanis retires at the end of June 2010.
