OK, here’s the plan: Lord willing we will leave for Cameroon in May

Below you will find our goals for the next months in order to hopefully leave in May, prior to rainy season and graduation at CBTS.

January :
We met with four churches. Please pray about a church that is considering partnership. If they decide to partner with us God will have added 5% to our financial support (we would then be at 85%) and many more saints praying for the gospel of Jesus Christ to transform Cameroon. Also two families have joined as monthly financial partners and at least four others have become prayer partners.

February:
We will continue to focus on partnership discovery and pre-pare for Tim’s ordination council. Pray for God to go before us in both of these opportunities. We will also begin the process of getting entry visas.

March
March is a significant month of transition. Amy plans to resign from her job at Presbyterian Homes. This is a big step of trust because we will no longer have the income and security that it provides. In the current economic situation it seems foolish to give up such a wonderful job, yet this is what we believe God is calling us to. God is faithful and we trust him. Presbyterian Homes has been a wonderful and gracious employer and we will miss them. Tim will have an ordination council and if approved, our local church will host an ordination service. Watch for details via email. March 29th: Begin 5 weeks of training at Mission Training International (MTI) in Palmer Lake Colorado.

April
Training at MTI includes two weeks of language learning skills and three weeks of culture learning skills. On April 2, Tim turns 40!

May
Return to Minnesota to pack a container, be commissioned at Bethlehem Baptist Church and then leave for Cameroon. As I write this I know that all of it, even my next breath is dependent on the grace of God. He is faithful and He will accomplish His purposes. Amen.

Kneeling Notes
Praises:
crossWe shared at a Missions Fellowship at our church; about 50 people where present.
crossGod is growing us in our daily walk with him.
crossWe were able to share with school aged saints at First Baptist in Cambridge, MN
crossTim will attend a conference on the apostolic aim of pastoral ministry. This is an important topic because in Cameroon many claim the title of apostle.
Prayer Requests:
arrowPray that the Gospel would transform Cameroonian churches.
arrowPray that we would be granted more visits with more churches and individuals.
arrowPray for Tim as he prepares for his ordination council in March 2010.
arrowPray that our daily walk with Christ will be strong and growing.

Prayer Team Update:
We currently have 51 people on our prayer team. We would like to double that number to a minimum of 100 partners. Prayer is just as important as finances in missions work. Both are necessary; neither is less important. Please contact us through milliea@convergeww.org if you want to be added to our prayer team. We would love to have you join us in God’s work in Cameroon.
